New Comment Forms
I just installed this hack. The 'x comments' link still brings up the usual Blogger popup window. But now you also have the option to leave a comment using a form right on the post page itself. Let me know if there are any problems with it.

ReplyDeleteHi AL, before I can implement your suggestion, I'll need you to clarify a few details:
ReplyDelete1) what are "rightpanel divs"? (and what "extra space" are you meaning?)
2) what is the "hidden comments text"?
P.S. I'd like to have the text forms to the right of the titles ("name", "homepage", etc) and on the same line -- like on the hack's homepage -- rather than the line below like I seem to have it. But looking over the template code, I can't figure out how to change this. Any suggestions are most welcome. (You can see the code by following the hack link provided in the main post.)
Oh, are you talking about the main page, not the new comment forms? I'd been wondering about that space to the right of the (main page) menu. Is it something to do with the "recent comments" hack? (I'm still not sure what "hidden comments text" is. Do you mean html comments in my template? Any idea which ones are causing the problem?)
ReplyDeletelook under my 'meta' category for a post entitled 'expandable posts'.
ReplyDeleteIt's not too hard to get the labels left of the controls. I posted example CSS some time ago on my blog.
